Blues closing in on deal to sign Tiemoué Bakayoko.

A lot of clubs have been keeping an eye on Tiemoué Bakayoko after his outstanding season with Monaco, but Chelsea may have won the race to sign him. Chelsea have agreed a £35m fee with Monaco for Frenchman Bakayoko on a lucrative five-year deal.

The Belgian striker made just one Premier League start for the club last season – after the Blues had wrapped up the title. Fernando Llorente is being looked at as a potential replacement because of his experience and proven talent. The Spanish striker was linked with Chelsea in January. Llorente played a key role in Swansea’s survival in the top flight under Paul Clement but they may decide to cash in if Chelsea come calling again.

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has set a £63m asking price for Liverpool transfer target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Liverpool have been linked with the in-demand forward, who scored 42 goals for club and country last season.

WEST HAM AND LEICESTER TRANSFER RUMOURS

The 20-year-old is to be made available as Pep Guardiola changes his squad but with such interest in a proven Premier League goalscorer who is still in the early stages of his career, City are insisting on the buy-back clause in order to cover themselves in the event that they want Iheanacho back. He is valued at around £25 million and his buy-back clause will be worth at least another £10 million on top of that sum to the club that signs him.
