Real Betis has had very regular seasons this past few years. They are usually a mid table team with occasional drops to the relegation zone. This will be the season where they will rise from the ashes and will surely get an Europa League spot and can also fight for Champions League football.
- Jordi Amat -> Loan from Swansea City
- Antonio Barragan -> Loan from Midlesbrough
- Andres Guardado -> $2 million from PSV
- Victor Camarasa -> $7 million from Levante
- Cristian Tello -> $4 million from Barcelona
- Sergio Leon -> $3.5 million from Osasuna
Conclusion: Jordi Amat will have to fight for a starting role against Pezzella and Mandi, both of those have proven to be worthy of a starting spot at La Liga. Antonio Barragan should have it easier, the other option at right back is 23 year Rafa Dominguez. Dominguez is decent but not at the level of Barragan. Andres Guardado the Mexican midfielder maestro is an interesting addition to the Spanish side. Guardado will most likely replace youngster Dani Ceballos who seems to be leaving Betis this summer. Next former Barcelona promising youngster Cristian Tello surprisingly joined Betis. Currently Real Betis has nobody playing on the left side of the field and clearly that’s where Tello will be needed. On the right side there is team captain Joaquin who is 35. Finally Sergio Leon who scored 10 times last season, will reinforce the Real Betis strike force. Leon scored more goals than Sanabria and Zozulya combined last season.
